Password Reset Request

All Shift4 DOLLARS ON THE NET (DOTN) accounts are required to have an Account Administrator. This Account Administrator is the individual that has access to all of the DOTN Account global settings.

As the password reset process does take time we encourage you to review the below suggestions prior to requesting this password reset.

The following tips frequently will assist in resolving the need for a password reset:

  • Has the Account Administrator been locked out after 3 attempts to login?
  • Has the Account Administrator attempted password recovery questions?
  • Has the Account Administrator re-tried the password and verifying the CAP-lock setting as this password is case sensitive?
  • Has the Account Administrator validated account number or user name?
  • Has the Account Administrator validated that visual verification has been entered correctly?
  • Has the Account Administrator re-attempted access to DOTN 2 hours after lockout with the correct login information?
  • Have you validated that you are the Account Administrator?

The password reset process below is not for the purpose of resetting individual User accounts; these passwords, when forgotten, can be handled by answering the recovery questions or referring this to any DOTN Administrator User, not just the Account Administrator.

The following tips frequently will determine when a password reset should be requested, such as:

  • When the Account Administrator confirms to have lost or forgotten the System Administrator password and has attempted to answer their secret questions for password recovery.
  • When the Account Administrator account has been locked out for 48 hours due to answering their recovery (secret) questions incorrectly and/or failing the visual verification.
  • When there is a new owner and/or management representative and the previous Account Administrator is not longer available.
  • When the previous request for password has expired (72 hours) and/or confirmation email was not received.

Before making this request, the requestor (you, or the person continuing with this request) must have the authority to make this request. We verify this by matching with the authorized signatories we have on file or by verbal confirmation in the event of a new owner or management representative. DO NOT CONTINUE UNLESS YOU ARE A SIGNATORY ON THIS ACCOUNT AND HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO MAKE THIS REQUEST.
